Comprehension
Once students master basic skills of reading and can smoothly read the words on the page, they must be able to understand what they read. Total Learning Centers' World of Reading Comprehension program ensures just that.
- Building vocabulary
- Creating active readers
- Practicing problem solving methods
- Teaching metacognition (learning how to learn)
As with basic reading skills, instruction must be simultaneous, systematic, and employ the use of cumulative multisensory teaching to maximize reading comprehension.
