Total Learning Centers is a privately-owned, academic, brain-based learning facility serving students in the Pittsburgh area.

TLC teachers work with students to provide subject tutoring, test preparation, and remediation. Teachers are responsible for maintaining a positive rapport with students and working diligently towards making progress every hour. TLC teachers work under the direction of the Program Director and Executive Director.

Job Duties and Expectations:

  • Work 1-on-1 with students in the Total Learning Prep and Total Learning Centers programs
  • Keep students on task and actively engaged in the lesson
  • Address emotional and behavioral needs of the student as necessary
  • Demonstrate clear, effective, and respectful communication with colleagues and directors
  • Make detailed notes of student progress in student curriculum and teacher daily report form after each session
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude at all times

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $10.00 to $15.00 /hour

Required education:

  • Bachelor's

 

 

Dedicated Special Education Teacher (Wexford)

Do you love working with students?

Would you like to work in collaboration with other teachers and make a difference in students' lives?

TLC is looking for instructors to teach and help with IEP meetings, paperwork and parent interaction.

The ideal candidate should have experience and certification in special education, ability to quickly establish a rapport with children and be a team player. Candidates must be able to write an IEP and FBA.

Benefits include: vacation time, part or full-time hours, flexible scheduling, training and the opportunity to teach. Full-time hours are eligible for vacation and other benefits.

  • writing IEPs: 1 year
