Total Learning Centers can support and help your child attain good grades
and strong academic skills, and give you peace of mind. Your child’s
team at TLC would be a certified teacher and, if necessary, speech and language
therapists, psychologists and a developmental pediatrician with the goal
of your child making meaningful progress toward his or her goals.
STEP ONE – Teacher Input
If you have a good relationship with your child’s teacher, you may first want to get their input on what skills may require extra instruction or enhancement.
STEP TWO – Free Initial Consultation
Contact 724-940-1090 or success@totallearningcenter.com to make an appointment for a free consultation at Total Learning Center. (It’s not necessary for your child to accompany you to this initial meeting.) Bring important information pertaining to your child such as reports, teachers’ input, and other evaluations and tests. We’ll get an overview of your child, and explain our services and fees. At that time, we’ll schedule consultative testing to determine his or her deficit areas.
STEP THREE – Testing
We use the results of the initial consultative testing as a basis
for our recommendations to improve learning, attention, behavior and
overall academic success. The results of this test may indicate the need
for additional testing, which will be discussed at that time. If no other
testing is needed, we’ll recommend a plan for his or her instruction
with realistic and appropriate goals, and estimated timelines for reaching
these goals.

STEP FOUR – Scheduling
Based on the instruction plan, you’ll complete a monthly calendar for your child with our scheduler and review payment options.
STEP FIVE – Welcome!
Your child will be scheduled at one of our four locations, in Wexford, Murrysville,
Fox Chapel, or South Hills. Decision on location is based on your family’s convenience
and where your child’s teacher or specialist is based. You and
your child will feel comfortable in this flexible, friendly learning
environment, and you’ll welcome our professional handling of your
child’s TLC experience. You’ll receive regular verbal and
written progress reports and, when requested, coordination between
TLC and your child’s
classroom program.
